BLU

By Blu and David Ellis. For old time sake Im posting this video. Oldie but a goodie.

Time lapse art processes is like watching a fetus grow. I watched this video in 2006 and I think at the time I was more impressed with only using black and white paint. It is glorious and arbitrary.

Periwinkle/Wrinkle time.
I found wrinkles under my eyes.
Yes, I know, its a astonishing but I am at a tender age to acquire them fine lines I guess. At first I thought it was merely makeup creases but as I tried to rub the crease away, the little lines remained. How did this happen? When did it happen? I’m not shitting you, I know the exact date they appeared (April 10th, 2011). One of my “not so close” guy friends pointed it out last year outside of the CLE building on the Institute of American Indian Arts’ campus. At first, my reaction was a little uncalled for and I may have said a thing or two about a thing or two, pertaining to being nice to women when it comes to age. Later that night when the makeup was all washed off, I saw the lines smiling at me in the mirror. He was right and it sucked butt.
Many things were carefully thought out that night. Like a brain storm of what ifs, for instance: Is this stress related or maybe its due to moving to New Mexico where I am in a desert. Being from the watery Midwest, I realize that we are damn lucky to have so many bodies of water. Does that mean I’m aging faster being in a dry climate? In any case, it was unsettling to know I am getting lines when I haven’t even hit the dirty 30 yet. It has now been almost a full year since the discovery. I did come to a conclusion that there ain’t shit I can do to prevent more lines from appearing. Just suck it up and accept, I am not a baby faced Dakota girl anymore. My chubby cheekies and doe eyes lost their powers. Back then, as in a year ago  I could probably pass off for a 20 year old or a even a teenager…maybe. Now I am on the cusp of being 30 with no M.A. and a car that barely works.
At this time, I would like to confess that I did fall victim to face products. Ladies might be curious to know if the products worked and…..no they did not. C’est La Vie.

Starting all over again. My hair records and archives memories like strands of digital mechanics. Only the ones I have loved so much, will know their significance in my life. Short hair to me, means love. I loved my brother with literally all I had.

I’m glad to see someone knows the proportions of a woman’s breast. Two thumbs up

Boa Mistura or “Good Mixture” is made up of five Spanish artists, Arkoh, Derko, Pahg, Purone and Rdick, who have developed their work in different fields including graffiti and mural painting, to graphic design and illustration. Collectively, they meld their talents together for various endeavors like this recent Participative Urban Art project in Vila Brâsilandia, one of the favelas in São Paulo. The intervention, with its 3D illusionary effect, focuses on “vecos” and “vielas” – winding streets that form as connections for the internal life of the community.

This is beautiful
